I met the sweetest family at Garden of the Gods to capture some memories from their vacation in Colorado. However, this session was more eventful than we were planning! When we arrived at our meeting spot there was thunder and lightning near by. The location we were planning to use requires a half mile hike, which wasn’t going to work with the storm so close. So we hoped back in our cars and drove to a different location. Once we got there we knew we had to work fast because the storm was only getting closer.
This session was only a short 15 minutes and we were still able to capture many beautiful photos for this family. The stormy sky and wind added a really dramatic element to their gallery. Summer thunderstorms are so unpredictable here in Colorado and this one popped up out of nowhere. But we were still able to make magic out of their session!
This little three year old was so much fun to capture! He has the sweetest personality. The entire session he was quizzing me on my animal facts and calling me Awee-sha, which was the cutest thing ever. He was so outgoing and funny! Preschool aged kiddos are some of my favorite to work with because they just have the biggest personalities!
I had the best time on that stormy night capturing this family and I’m so happy that even despite the storm we were still about to capture a beautiful gallery for them.
