Garden of the Gods is one of my most requested locations and for good reason. It is perfect for family photos. So many of my clients this summer booked a photo session before moving out of the area. It is such a joy to help my clients document their time spent here in Colorado with a photo session before they leave. For example this family was about to embark on a big adventure as they move overseas.
After having to reschedule for rain, we lucked out with the most beautiful evening. It was warm and sunny. And we had the most beautiful sunset. The sunset time is late right now but its so worth it. So often my clients with little kiddos are nervous about the late start time. If that is a concern of yours I recommend booking a fall session. Otherwise kids do pretty well staying up a little. Being outside and exploring a new place helps a lot. This sweet one year did amazing and was happy almost the entire session!
I just love when babies this age wear a romper so I can capture all those cute baby rolls. One of the best parts of summer photo sessions is that it is warm enough for these adorable outfits. And babies are much happier when it is warm out.
This is one of my favorite spots at Garden of the Gods. I love having my families snuggle up in front of these red rocks. I save this for the very end of the session after the sun goes down and then capture these beautiful direct light images.
