I am so thankful for clients that come back to me year after year to capture their family photos! This is the third summer in a row that I have photographed the Howard family. And this years photos are by far my favorite. It is such a joy as a photographer to watch families grow. I was so happy that we finally got a beautiful sunset for their maternity photos this year. In Colorado Springs we often get stormy skies in the summer which is beautiful as well. But I’m always excited to work with that beautiful backlit light.

Family maternity photos are some of my favorites! I love capturing a little ones excitement about their baby sibling on the way. It is so special to capture the last few months of them being a family of three. Family dynamics change so much when you add a new little one. They will for sure look back on these years when this sweet boy was their only child!
Let your Photographer Choose your Session Location
Photography locations vary so much depending on the time of year! There are some locations that are best in the summer and some that are best in fall. Its really best if you let your photographer choose your session location. I send out a client questionnaire to each client that books with me. One of the questions asks if you want mountain views, a grassy field or red rocks. Based off of that I can recommend the perfect location for you! I love that this momma always lets me choose the location for their session. She just likes to use a different spot each year!
