Documenting motherhood is one of my favorite parts of being a photographer. This sweet family was so excited about their new addition. There is something so special about capturing those last few moments before welcoming a new baby. Life as you know is about to change forever.
Maternity photos are so special because of that beautiful glow and this mom was really glowing! The stunning views and sunset add to the feel of this session. Growing a life inside you is magical and your maternity session should reflect that.
I always take some time during a maternity session to capture the love between a pregnant mom and her partner. It is such a special time to be awaiting the arrival of your new baby together as a couple. I really love capturing a few romantic couple photos during my maternity sessions. Thinking about this baby one day looking back at these photos and seeing how in love his parents were at the time fills me with so much joy.
In Colorado we typically have a late spring. Early spring can look a lot more like winter, with the grasses still brown and even snow on the ground. I always recommend to my clients that they choose outfits that have rich colors for winter and early spring sessions to add color to their gallery. The styling for this session really compliments the season and location. I love how the red dress pops from the background and draws your eye to the glowing pregnant mom. This dress is perfect for maternity photos and is an inexpensive option from Amazon. It comes in a few other colors as well.
