There are few places more beautiful than this. These Pikes Peak adventure photos were a bucket list session for me. I had been wanting to do this for a while and finally made it happen just before the winter weather set in. I love the big rocks, tall pine trees and mountain summit in the background.
In order to access this stunning spot you have to drive about half way to the summit of Pikes Peak on the Pikes Peak Highway. Currently it costs $15 per person or $50 per car load. The drive is incredibly scenic as long as you aren’t too afraid of heights. Because of the high altitude, it is important to drink plenty of water and bring lots of warm layers!
My daughter is wearing one of my favorite dresses from Joyfolie. Joyfolie has a great selection of dresses for girls of all ages starting at size 2T to size 14, as well as women’s dresses too. I love that this dress is long enough to easily hide warm pants underneath. These photos were taken at almost 12,000 ft and it was pretty cold out. Bonnets are one of my favorite accessories for little babies and girls. They are especially great for keeping kiddos warm. I have a few in my client closet handmade by Indiemae. My favorite thing about these bonnets is that they fit a wide ranges of sizes. My daughter has been wearing this same bonnet from 18 months to 4 years old and it still fits her. I also love that bonnets are more difficult for a baby to pull of their head.
This location would be best in summer and fall. Winter would be stunning but the drive and cold temperatures would be challenging. The beautiful snowcapped peak would be worth it though.
