There’s nothing quite like the magic of a growing family. As a family photographer, it brings me so much joy to capture these precious moments in time. Today, I am sharing a family maternity photo session in Colorado Springs with a beautiful mom and her lively toddler. Throughout the session, we captured a range of different images, from candid moments of play and laughter to more posed shots that showcased the beauty of this growing family.
Golden Light and Mountain Views
As we arrived at the location, I couldn’t help but feel excited. The sun was starting to dip low in the sky, casting a warm golden light across the landscape, and the mountains provided a breathtaking backdrop for our shoot.
The mom was wearing a gorgeous flowy burnt orange dress from Joyfolie that perfectly complemented the warm tones of the setting sun. This dress is available in my client closet and it is one of my favorite dresses. It works beautifully for maternity and non maternity. The warmth of the setting sun provided a beautiful glow, and the mom’s dress looked even more stunning in this magical light.
One of my favorite parts of this session was capturing the relationship between this beautiful mom and her toddler. This little boy had the most fun personality and was full of giggles and so much joy. I loved capturing his playful spirit, as he explored the surroundings.
At one point, I asked the family to walk along the dirt path. The little boy was fascinated by the rocks and loved exploring. As the mom walked while holding her son, I captured a series of images that truly showcased the love and bond between this mother and son.
As the sun set behind the mountains, I captured a final series of couple images capturing their love set against the stunning mountain views.
Overall, this maternity session was an absolute joy to photograph. The love and connection between this family was beautiful. I was honored to be able to capture this special time in their lives. These images will no doubt be treasured for years to come, serving as a beautiful reminder of the beauty and magic of this moment in time.
