Booking Your Vacation Photo Session
Timing is everything when it comes to capturing the perfect shot, especially on vacation. To ensure your family’s adventures are beautifully captured, booking your photography session 6-12 weeks in advance is crucial. This lead time guarantees your preferred date and time, allowing you to seamlessly integrate the photo session into your vacation plans. Summer months are my peak season for vacation photo sessions, making early booking essential for those months. If possible I recommend leaving another free evening as a backup date incase weather is an issue. I try my best to work around the weather and still do your session on the date we planned but it is always good to have a back-up. My summer calendar will open mid April. Comfortable Footwear: Given that your session will include exploration of natural trails, wearing comfortable shoes is a must. You may even want to wear walking shoes and change into your session shoes after we hike to our location.
Bring Water: Colorado Springs’ elevation can be challenging for those not accustomed to it. Given our dry climate and high altitude it’s easy to get thirsty here, especially when hiking and exploring. Most of my locations are not close to parking so it’s important to bring everything you need, including water.
Layered Clothing: The area’s weather can change quickly, so dressing in layers allows for easy adjustments, ensuring comfort no matter the weather.
