The Best Accessories for Fall Photo Sessions
The weather in Colorado Springs is unpredictable anytime of year but especially during the fall. Temperatures can range anywhere from below freezing (hello snow) to 80 degrees. For this reason I recommend styling your session with a lot of layers and accessories. Keeping kids warm is one of the keys to fall photo sessions in Colorado Springs. Cold kids are not happy kids! Accessories can take boring outfits and turn them into a perfectly styled session!
Bonnets
If you have been following me for awhile then you know that I love bonnets. They are the cutest and are perfect for keeping babies and toddlers warm during a chilly session. I especially love bonnets for both boys and girls up to age 3.
Sweaters
Sweaters are perfect for any member of the family! If it is cold out I recommend a big warm sweater for boys. They can even wear a few layers underneath if it is really cold out. For both mom and little girls a warm cardigan is perfect over a dress. I love the texture that knitwear adds to a session!
Tights and Socks
For babies, toddlers, and little girls tights and socks are perfect to complete a look. Tights are definitely my favorite for for the added warmth and not having to worry about underwear showing. My favorite place to get socks and tights is little stocking co because they have so many beautiful colors.
Blankets
Blankets are perfect for snuggling up at the end of a session! After the sun goes down the light is still beautiful but it gets cold quick. This is the perfect time to pull out a blanket to wrap around the little ones. I am always looking for new blankets to add to my collection and I try to bring a couple options to each session.
